Data protection firm SafeNet announced Prakash Panjwani as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer.
Panjwani replaces President and CEO, Dave Hansen, who the company said is departing the organization for unspecified personal reasons. Hansen joined the company from CA Technologies in December 2012, replacing Chris Fedde who had been with the firm since 2001.
Panjwani has been with SafeNet for 12 years. He has also been appointed as a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
During his time at the company, Panjwani was responsible for refocusing the company’s data protection product portfolio on crypto management, data encryption, and authentication.
